5 Tips to Stop Over Eating

1. Give yourself 15 minutes
Your stomach needs around 15 minutes to tell the brain that it’s full.  So give yourself 15 minutes before jumping on seconds.

2. Don’t clean your plate
Portions are bigger than ever at restaurants so there is no need to clean your plate. Instead, take half your meal home for lunch tomorrow.

3. Don’t eat out of the container
Take a handful of your favorite snack from that bag or box instead of sitting down with the whole container. You are more inclined to keep snacking otherwise.

4. Pack your own lunch
Packing your own lunch is not only healthier, but it will also save you money. Bring a bag to work with a healthy lunch, drink and snacks. You will be less tempted to raid the vending machine if you have a banana at your desk.

5. Still Hungry?
Don’t pile on the meat and potatoes. If you’re still hungry grab more veggies, salad or healthy soup.
